IPL: de Kock leads Super Giants to victory over Delhi Capitals
Lucknow Super Giants moved to number two on the IPL points table after a six-wicket win over Delhi Capitals in Match 15 of the IPL on Thursday.
Set a target of 150, Super Giants got home with two balls to spare with South African wicketkeeper/batsman Quinton de Kock leading the way with 80 off 52 balls. The left-handed opener struck nine fours and two sixes.
KL Rahul made 24 off 25 in an opening stand of 73 with de Kock, while Krunal Pandya (19* off 14) and Ayush Badoni (10* off 3) closed out the game.
Left-arm spinner Kuleep Yadav took 2-31.
Earlier, opener Prithvi Shaw scored 61 off 34 as Delhi Capitals made 149-3. Rishabh Pant supported with 39* off 36 and Sarfaraz Khan made 36* off 28. Ravi Bishnoi took 2-22.
With their second loss in three games, Delhi Capitals occupy seventh spot in the 10-team tournament, which continues on Friday with Punjab Kings taking on Gujarat Titans from 10:00h.
