The Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) has appointed Melanie Marshall as the commission’s voter registration manager.
The appointment was confirmed on Tuesday at GECOM’s statutory meeting.
GECOM in a press release noted that Marshall’s confirmation was premised on the fact that she was the only applicant that met all of the required criteria for the position.
Marshall has been employed with GECOM for 16 years, six of which she has been acting in the capacity of acting voter registration manager.
She holds a Commonwealth Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Public Management from the University of Guyana.
