An accident at the junction of the Ogle Access Road, East Coast Demerara (ECD) resulted in the death of a 22-year-old motorcyclist on Monday night.
Dead is Alex Amsterdam of Sparendaam Squatting Area, ECD. Police Commander Khali Pareshram told the News Room that the 35-year-old male driver of the car (PRR 8717) is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
The News Room understands that Amsterdam was proceeding east and the car was heading south when they both collided at the junction at around 23:50hrs.
Amsterdam was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
