Murder suspect found hiding in father’s house

Nineteen-year-old murder suspect Joshua Williams was arrested by police on Wednesday at his father’s Kuru Kururu, Soesdyke Linden Highway house.

The teen’s father, a taxi driver, was also taken into custody for harbouring a wanted fugitive.

Williams was wanted for the murder of 41-year-old Joseph Davis, a miner of Swan Village, Soesdyke Linden Highway.

Police Headquarters reported that ranks visited the home based on information received and found the teen hiding behind a chair.

The father and son were both escorted to the Timehri Police station where they were placed into custody.

The wounding incident occurred on March 19 and Davis was hospitalised in the Intensive Care Unit of the Georgetown Public Hospital until he succumbed to his injuries on March 27.

The police never managed to get his statement.
