The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport in collaboration will KB Promotions will host an inaugural tapeball competition, themed Culture T10 blast at the tarmac of the National Stadium, Providence, on Sunday.
The invitational tournament will witness eight of the top tapeball teams in the country battle for the first-place prize of G$130,000.
Some of those teams set to participate are Diamond Gunners, Eccles All Stars, Tarmac XI, Village Rams, Corruption, Airport and M13.
“Tapeball is growing and we wanted to give the guys an opportunity to play a competitive tournament in a safe place. We just want to have a fun and safe tournament, and the players abide by all the rules,” one of the organisers said.
The entrance fee per team is G$10,000 and medals will be awarded to players of the two finalists, along with Most Valuable Player for the tournament, MVP for the final, best batsman and bowler.
The action commences at 10:00h.
