An 18-year-old prisoner at the Lusignan Prison on the East Coast Demerara was caught with 92 grams of marijuana in two parcels stashed in his underwear, Police Headquarters has reported.
The teenager was observed acting suspiciously at about10:30 hrs while working on the prison farm. A search was conducted by a Prison Training Officer when the illegal drug was discovered.
Police said the teen admitted to the allegation and was cautioned.
The teenager from Albouystown, Georgetown, is serving a sentence for armed robbery.
