Guyana recorded 19 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday from a total of 1, 533 tests, taking the total number of confirmed cases since March 2020 to 63, 439.
The new cases were recorded in the following regions; Region Three (three cases), Region Four (six cases), Region Five (one case), Region Six (one case) and Region Nine (10 cases).
The Ministry of Health explained that a case was removed from Region Five and added to Region Six.
There is no patient in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit, one patient is in institutional isolation and 96 patients are in home isolation.
To date, 62, 114 people have recovered and 1, 228 have died from the virus.
