Contractor robbed at gunpoint by motorcycle bandits


Police are on the hunt for two motorcycle bandits who robbed a 30-year-old contractor on Monday night as he was walking along Kaikan Street, North Ruimveldt, Georgetown in the vicinity of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Police Headquarters revealed that the young man was walking home at around 20:45hrs when the bandits rode up alongside him armed with a knife and gun.

They stole his iPhone valued at $120,000; an Apple computer valued at $430,000, and GY$80,000 cash.

The rider, who was armed with a handgun, reportedly discharged one round in the air as he and his accomplice escaped.
