Ramdhani siblings progress in Mixed Doubles at Pan Am Championship

The Ramdhani siblings- Narayan and Priyanna- moved into the Round of 32 by winning their opening game of the Mixed Doubles at the Pan American Championship in El Salvador.

Competing in the Round of 64, the Guyanese prevailed 21-17, 21-17 against Gavin Robinson and Monyata Riviera of Barbados.

In the Men’s Doubles, Narayan teamed up with Nicholas Bonkowsky of Trinidad and Tobago and gained a bye to the Round of 16. Narayan and Akili Haynes also gained walkovers in the Men’s Singles.

In other results, Tyrese Jeffrey lost 21-19, 21-6, 21-6 to Carlos Rodriguez of El Salvador in the Men’s Singles; Priyanna lost 21-15, 21-18 to Karolina Orellana Ardon of Guatemala in the Women’s Singles; and Haynes and Jeffrey lost 21-16, 21-9 to Kevin Lee and Tye Alexander Lindeman of Canada in the Men’s Doubles Round of 32.

The Guyanese will be in action again on Wednesday.
