Police in Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam) arrested two men who reportedly discharged several rounds while leaving the popular Jagdesh Duck Curry Bar at Lima Sands, Essequibo.
The incident occurred on Sunday night. The News Room understands that the two suspects were customers at the bar and while leaving, they started shooting in the direction of the bar.
The proprietor of the bar, Jagdesh Bissessar told the News Room that the shooting stemmed from the young boys “showing off” because they had “money in their pockets.”
The men were arrested in the wee hours of Monday and later released on station bail.
