One patient in COVID ICU; 27 more infections

Another 27 individuals were infected with the novel coronavirus over a 24-hour period, after 2,085 tests were done, the Ministry of Health reported in its daily COVID-19 dashboard on Wednesday.

The new cases were all recorded in: Region Two (one case), Region Three (four cases), Region Four (15 new cases), Region Five (two cases) and Region Six (five cases).

The total number of confirmed cases since March 11, 2020 has now increased to 63,518. Importantly, though, no additional deaths were recorded. As such, the overall death toll remained at 1,228.

Notably, only one patient is receiving critical care in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU). There is also one person in institutional isolation, three people in institutional quarantine and 88 people in home isolation.

With 51 new recoveries, the total number of people recovered after they were infected remains at 62,200.
