A 39-year-old man of Wismar, Linden, Region Ten, was awakened by a loud explosion on Thursday night and upon investigating, he saw his car engulfed in flames.
According to a police report, the incident occurred between 19:00hrs and 21:15hrs on Thursday.
The man’s Toyota 212 motorcar (HB 4084) suffered extensive damage.
He told police that with the assistance of his wife, they managed to extinguish the fire. Police said the perpetrator is unknown at this time.
Investigations are ongoing.
