Six new COVID-19 cases

Another six people were infected with the novel coronavirus over a 24-hour period, after 303 tests were done, the Ministry of Health reported in its daily COVID-19 dashboard on Friday.

The new cases were all recorded in: Region Three (one case), Region Four (two new cases) and Region Six (three cases).

The total number of confirmed cases since March 11, 2020 has now increased to 63,539. Importantly, though, no additional deaths were recorded. As such, the overall death toll remained at 1,228.

Notably, only one patient is receiving critical care in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU). There is also one person in institutional isolation and 99 people in home isolation. No person is in institutional quarantine.

With six new recoveries, the total number of people recovered after they were infected increased to 62,210.
