13 new COVID cases from 1,210 tests

Another 13 individuals were infected with the novel coronavirus over a 24-hour period, after 1,210 tests were done, the Ministry of Health reported in its daily COVID-19 dashboard on Sunday.

The new cases were recorded in: Region Three (three cases), Region Four (nine cases) and Region Six (one cases).

The total number of confirmed cases since March 11, 2020 has now increased to 63,583. Importantly, no additional deaths were recorded; as such, the overall death toll remained at 1,228.

One patient is now receiving critical care in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and another patient is in institutional isolation. There are also 136 people in home isolation, and four individuals are in institutional quarantine.

With no new recoveries, the total number of people who recovered after they were infected remained at 62,217.
