Several “known characters” who are wanted for a series of armed robberies were on Wednesday arrested following a police raid in ‘D’ Field Sophia, Greater Georgetown.
Police Headquarters in a statement noted that ranks from Regional Division 4 ‘A’ (CID Special Patrol) along with ranks from Special Branch and Brickdam Impact Base carried out a search at a house in the area on Wednesday where 20 cellphones suspected to be stolen were found
The statement added that several known characters who are wanted for a series of armed robberies in Regional Division 4 ‘A’ and Regional Division 4 ‘B’ were arrested and escorted to the Brickdam Police Station where they were placed into custody.
