Guyana now has 248 active COVID-19 cases countrywide with four persons in the COVID Intensive Care Unit, based on information from the Ministry of Health’s daily COVID-19 dashboard.
A total of 52 new cases were recorded within 24 hours from a total of 1, 347 tests, taking the overall number of confirmed cases to 63, 736.
The new cases were recorded in Region Two (one case), Region Three (10 cases), Region Four (37 cases), Region Five (one case), Region Six (two cases) and Region Ten (one case).
There are six patients in institutional isolation and 238 are in home isolation.
To date, 62, 260 people have recovered and 1, 228 have died from the virus.
