A driver and a conductor are currently in police custody assisting with investigations after they reportedly encouraged seven schoolgirls to consume alcohol.
One of the schoolgirls is currently hospitalised. The News Room understands that the incident occurred on Wednesday, but a police report was only made on Thursday after one of the girls fell ill.
Reports indicate that the girls are between the ages of 13 and 16; it is alleged that the girls were “joyriding” in the minibus and were given the alcohol to consume.
Last year, the same driver and conductor were arrested for a similar offence.
