Berbice emerged champions of the Guyana Cricket Board’s Inter-County T20 competition, following a convincing victory over the Select XI in the final round on Monday.
Playing at the Everest ground, Berbice amassed 131-3 in 13.4 overs in a match affected by rain, while the Select XI, set a revised target of 88 in eight overs, ended on 19-8.
The 68-run win meant the Berbicians were declared champions after winning all three of their games. The earlier match between Demerara and Essequibo was washed out without a ball bowled.
