IPL: Rajasthan beat CSK to finish second
Rajasthan Royals defeated Chennai Super Kings by five wickets to finish number two on the IPL points table on Friday.
Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal topscored with 59 off 44 and Ravichandran Ashwin made 40* off 23 as Rajasthan knocked off the target of 151 with two balls remaining.
Their ninth victory secured a top two spot with Gujarat Titans, while Chennai Super Kings 10th loss saw them finishing ninth in the 10-team tournament.
Moeen Ali’s 93 off 57 was the highlight of Chennai’s 150-6, with MS Dhoni chipping in with 26. Obed McCoy and Yuzvendra Chahal took two wickets each.
IPL action continues on Saturday with Mumbai Indians playing Delhi Capitals from 10:00h.
The match will determine whether Delhi Capitals or Royal Challengers Bangalore will qualify for the playoff, as Mumbai Indians are sure to finish at the base of the table.
