Everest Cricket Club and Albion Community Centre Cricket Club will face off in a 40-over match on May 26 at the Everest ground, with some of the country’s leading cricketers set to feature in the resumption of an old rivalry.

The winning side will pocket G$500,000 and there are also other lucrative prizes on offer for individual brilliance. G$3,000 will be awarded to every six struck and G$2,000 for every four or wicket.

For the hosts, national players Clinton Pestano, Amir Khan, Rajendra Chandrika, and Richie Looknauth are expected to feature against the likes of Devendra Bishoo, Kelvin Umroa, Kandasammy Surjnarine, Sharaz Ramcharran and Gauraz Ramesh.

The Guyana Tourism Authority and Superbet have also come on board as sponsors.

Match time is 10:00h and admission is free.
