The body of a 41-year-old teacher, Omega Ault, was found in a state of decomposition at her Crane, West Coast Demerara (WCD) house on Friday and police are searching for her husband, Clarence Farley known as Junior.

Police Headquarters reported that the woman’s brother Kevin Ault, a mechanic, visited her home on Friday, after he had been calling her for days without any answer. There, he discovered the woman’s body lying face down inside of her house, appearing in a state of decomposition at around 17:00hrs.

He then went to the Vreed-en-Hoop police station and reported the incident.

Police said the teacher was living with Farley and their three-year-old son but that the couple were reportedly encountering marital problems.

Wanted: Clarence Farley

According to the police, Farley took their son to sister of the now dead woman, Tracy Ault, about four days ago at Diamond, East Bank Demerara.

The man reportedly told the woman that he was going into a backdam for work. He has not been seen since then.

It is suspected that the teacher may have died between May 14 and 27.

A wanted bulletin has been issued for Farley, who last known addresses are Lot 1A ‘X’ new road, Vreed-en- Hoop and Lot 291 Section ‘A’ Block ‘Y’ Golden Grove, East Bank Demerara.

Meanwhile, the woman’s body is at the Ezekiel Funeral home awaiting an autopsy.

Even though they’ve been together for years, the News Room understands that the couple only got married in December 2021.
