Back in April, a 12-member jury found David guilty of engaging in sexual activity with the victim.

He was also found guilty on a second count which read that on July 13, 2020, he engaged in sexual penetration with the teen.

On Friday, Justice Sewnarine-Beharry sentenced David to serve 15 years for the first count and 17 years for the second count.

Both sentences will run concurrently, which means David will serve 17 years behind bars.

According to reports, David is known to the victim’s family. It is alleged that David would rape the child when she is left in his care.
