West Vybz Sports became the latest sponsor for Slingerz Football Club after the Tuschen-base entity officially announced its alliance with the West Demerara Football Association (WDFA) club on Friday.
The West Vybz Sports Bar emblem is also featured on the club’s uniform, with Javed Ali, Slingerz FC president, stating that they’re hoping to make this a feature for some of their sponsors.
Proprietor of the entity, Jai Balgobin, said West Vybz Sports Bar will continue its support of Slingerz FC, adding “we endeavour to embrace the club’s vision and we look forward to continuing our partnership.”
Slingerz FC’s president, Javed Ali, said they welcome the support from Balgobin, stating that “this is not a sponsorship, but more so a collaboration. We want to work together with corporate Guyana because what we’re doing is bigger than football.”
West Vybz Sports Bar now joins Forrester’s Lumber and Building Complex as the businesses that are backing the club.
After a six-year hiatus, the former Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Elite League Champions made a winning return, defeating Uitvlugt FC 3 – 0 on Wednesday.
The club will be in action Sunday when the WDFA STAG League continues at the National Track and Field Centre when they take on #1 All-Stars from 20:00h in the final match of a triple-header.
