Vendor nabbed with cocaine at Parika
A 29-year-old female vendor of De Kinderen, West Coast Demerara was Wednesday busted by police at Parika, East Bank Essequibo with 3.3 grams of cocaine.
The police ranks were on patrol in the area at about 11:30 hours when the Corporal observed the woman standing on the Parika main road.
They approached her and the Corporal identified himself as a policeman and then requested to carry out a search on a bag she had in her possession.
The woman complied and then reached into the bag and took out a small transparent zip lock plastic bag containing a quantity of small whitish rock-like substance suspected to be cocaine and handed it over to the Corporal.
She was arrested and escorted to the Parika Police Station where the thirty-two (32) pellets were weighed and amounted to 3.3 grams.
The 29-year-old woman is in custody pending charges.
