41 new COVID cases, four patients in ICU

The Ministry of Health on Sunday reported 41 new COVID-19 cases from 402 tests conducted over a 24-hour period.

The new cases were recorded in the following regions: Region Two (six cases), Region Three (five cases), Region Four (23 cases), Region Five (one case), and Region Six (two cases) and Region Seven (Three cases).

The overall number of confirmed cases since the virus was first detected in Guyana in March 2020 has increased to 67,099.

There are four patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 24 patients are in institutional isolation, and 929 patients are in home isolation.

To date, 64,891 people have recovered.
