15 new COVID cases, five patients in ICU

The Ministry of Health on Monday reported that15 persons (seven males and eight females) tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

The new cases are from 154 tests.

The new cases were recorded in Region Two (five cases), Region Four (six cases), and Region Six (four cases).

The overall number of confirmed cases since the virus was first detected in Guyana in March 2020 has increased to 67,114.

There are five patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 27 patients are in institutional isolation, four patients in institutional quarantine and 883 patients are in home isolation.

To date, 64,948 people have recovered.
