Missing woman found dead, dumped along Corentyne Public Road

The body of a 29-year-old hairdresser from Canje, Berbice, Region Six (East Berbice – Corentyne) was found early Thursday morning dumped in a garbage bag along the Courtland Public Road.

Relatives who had already been in search of the missing woman showed up at the location and positively identified the body to be that of Donalesa Park – a mother of one.

The News Room was informed that she left home Wednesday night, telling relatives that she was going to “plait somebody’s hair”.

They are unsure how she ended up at Courtland Village.

The News Room was informed that the woman’s boyfriend lives at Courtland; he has not been located but a slipper belonging to her was reportedly found at the boyfriend’s premises.

The body was removed by police detectives who have not released any official statement on the discovery.

Investigations are in progress.
