Dead: Agnes Dillon

He was arrested on Saturday, two days after the elderly woman was found in a pool of blood at her home.

After confessing, Persaud took investigators back to the scene and pointed out where he gained entry into the house and where he reportedly disposed of the murder weapon.

However, investigators have so far been unable to recover the weapon due to dense vegetation in the area.

Two persons were initially arrested on Friday in connection with the murder.

Dilion was found lying in a pool of blood at her house on June 30, 2022, with suspected stab wounds to her left and right upper chest and suspected chop wounds to her right hand and right-side face.

The initial police report said she was murdered between 17:30hrs on June 29 and midday on June 30.

The elderly woman lived alone in the lower flat of a two-storey wooden house; the upper flat is occupied by the landlord.
