Another Essequibo youth cricketer earns V-Net sponsorship

Left-arm spinner Golcharran Chulai, who was selected in the Guyana Under-17 squad for the upcoming Regional Under-17 tournament in Trinidad and Tobago, has gotten some support from V-Net Communications ahead of the July 17-28 competition.

Chulai, who hails from Wakenaam, was among the top bowlers in the recently concluded Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) Inter-County tournament, and even copped Man-of-the-match against the Rising Stars Under-17s.

The National Under-17 squad is currently encamped at the La Bonne Intention Cricket Facility, East Coast Demerara.

According to a statement from the 25 Delph Street, Campbellville, Georgetown, entity, which specialises in data and voice communication, they recognised the young man’s talent and felt it was imperative they offer some support, in keeping with the programme they developed of supporting youth cricketers.

They offered words of encouragement and wished Chulai all the best in his endeavours. And, as part of the sponsorship, V-Net has enrolled the young cricketer in the Everest Cricket Club.

In early, May, V-Net also sponsored the needs of four Essequibo youth cricketers to play the sport in the city through the Everest Cricket Club.
