An investigation was launched on Friday after the body of an unknown man was discovered in an America Street lot.
Police said the body of a man between the ages 35 and 40 was found at Lot 16 America Street, Georgetown at about 01:20 hrs.
The man of East Indian descent, who is about 5 feet 8 inches tall, medium built, brown in complexion, with short hair, was dressed in a black t-shirt and blue short pants.
Police from the Brickdam Police Station were called to the scene and the Crime Scene Department at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Headquarters examined and photographed the scene.
The body was examined but no marks of violence were seen. The man was pronounced dead by a doctor at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
Several persons were questioned, but no useful information was received, the police reported.
Meanwhile, CCTV footage from the area is yet to be viewed.
