Led by Rampertab Ramnauth and Mavendra Dindyal, Guyana is unbeaten thus far in their two matches at the ongoing Regional Under-17 tournament in Trinidad and Tobago.
They now face Jamaica on Tuesday at Inshan Ali Park, and should Guyana win, it would put them well on their way to winning the title for the first time since the tournament started in 2012.
On Sunday, Guyana defeated the host by nine wickets at Gilbert Park, with Ramnauth smashing an unbeaten 104 while Dindyal made 50 before he retired hurt with cramps.
Zachary Jodah supported the chase with an unbeaten 38.
Additionally, Guyana defeated Barbados on Saturday by eight wickets led again by unbeaten knocks of 56 and 46 by Ramnauth and Dindyal respectively.
According to Cricket West Indies, due to the recent inclement weather, the schedule for the tournament was adjusted.
The teams now play three rounds of 50-over matches, followed by two rounds of T20 matches.
