Security guard, 61-year-old Mark Yaw died while on duty at a hotel situated on the corners of Cummings and Robb Streets, Georgetown on Monday.
Police Headquarters reported that Yaw was sitting in a chair in the hotel’s office breathing heavily when he was discovered by the hotel’s manager.
The manager asked Yaw if he was okay but according to police, he responded by saying “suicide” and attempted to stand up.
The man fell to the ground before the manager and her husband rendered assistance. They then contacted 911.
By the time the ambulance arrived, Yaw was unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Police said no marks of violence were seen on the body.
Investigations are ongoing.
