Another 47 people, including 21 men and 26 women, are now infected with the disease COVID-19, according to the Ministry of Health’s daily COVID-19 dashboard issued on Saturday.
With these new cases, the total number of infections recorded in Guyana since March 2020 has increased to 69,792.
The new cases were recorded in Region One (two cases), Region Two (two cases), Region Three (10 cases), Region Four (21 cases), Region Nine (five cases) and Region 10 (seven cases).
Meanwhile, there is one patient in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 23 patients in institutional isolation and 623 patients are in home isolation.
To date, 67,874 people have recovered.
