A Teacher from Rose Hall Town, East Berbice, Corentyne is now dead after he lost control of the vehicle he was driving and crashed along the Albion/Chesney Public Road.
Dead is Sydney Cort.
Traffic Officer, Assistant Superintendent Nyron Hassanin told the News Room that the accident occurred sometime around 1:40 hrs on Sunday.
He said that based on information received, Cort was proceeding at a fast rate when he lost control of his vehicle and collided with an electrical post.
The car then crashed into a parked vehicle and turned turtle in a nearby yard.
The News Room understands that Cort was unconscious when he was rushed to the Port Mourant Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
