Arrested for threatening behaviour, Pork Knocker leads Police to unlicensed gun

A 22-year-old Pork Knocker who police arrested for threatening behaviour on Monday subsequently led detectives to an unlicensed firearm.

Police Headquarters said in a statement on Tuesday that Romel Alonzo had threatened a 38-year-old Shopkeeper of Baramita, North West District on Saturday, leading to his arrest and questioning.

Alonzo was taken to the Baramita Police Station where he reportedly told detectives of the gun.

Alonzo along with several police ranks subsequently went to a bushy area at Barama Line where he reportedly pointed out a small black bulky plastic bag that was on the ground among some nearby bushes.

When opened, the bag contained a.32 Pistol without a magazine.

The 22-year-old man was immediately escorted back to the station along with the firearm.

He remains in custody as investigations continue.
