A total of 61 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health’s daily COVID-19 dashboard issued on Thursday.
With these new cases, COVID infections recorded in Guyana since March 2020 have increased to 70,009.
The new cases were recorded after 367 tests were conducted with cases confirmed in Region One, Region Two, Region Three, Region Four, Region Seven, Region Nine and Region Ten.
Meanwhile, there is one patient in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 21 patients are in institutional isolation and 491 patients are in home isolation.
To date, 68,225 people have recovered.
