74 new COVID cases, one in ICU

A total of 74 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health’s daily COVID-19 dashboard issued on Friday.

With these new cases, COVID infections recorded in Guyana since March 2020 have increased to 70, 083.

The new cases were recorded after 645 tests were conducted with cases confirmed in Region One (four cases), Region Two (four cases), Region Three (four cases), Region Four (36 cases), Region Five (one case), Region Six (13 cases), Region Seven (two cases), Region Nine (four cases) and Region Ten (six cases).

Meanwhile, there is one patient in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 16 patients are in institutional isolation and 528 patients are in home isolation.

To date, 68,267 people have recovered.
