43 new COVID cases, one in ICU

A total of 43 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health’s daily COVID-19 dashboard issued on Saturday.
With these new cases, COVID infections recorded in Guyana since March 2020 have increased to 70, 126.
The new cases were recorded after 645 tests were conducted with cases confirmed in Region One (one case), Region Two (six cases), Region Three (three cases), Region Four (23 cases), Region Five (one case), Region Six (eight cases) and Region Ten (one case).
Meanwhile, there is one patient in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 14 patients are in institutional isolation and 481 patients are in home isolation.
To date, 68,359 people have recovered.
