A total of 63 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health reported on Tuesday.
The new cases take the total number of infections recorded in Guyana since March 2020 to 70,222.
The new cases were recorded in Region Two (two cases), Region Thee (three cases), Region Four (26 cases), Region Five (eight cases), Region Six (one case), Region Eight (21 cases), Region Nine (one case) and Region Ten (one case).
Meanwhile, there are two patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 14 patients in institutional isolation and 456 patients in home isolation.
To date, 68, 478 people have recovered and 1,272 deaths have been recorded.
