Woman, 22, murdered by two sisters
Vanessa Anderson, a 22-year-old resident of ‘B’ Field Sophia, Georgetown, was murdered Monday night by two sisters – her neigbhours.
Police headquarters reported that the two sisters, ages 20 and 29, lived next door to Anderson.
It was reported that there would be occasional arguments among the neighbours. The suspects accused the now dead woman of calling the police to search their house.
Based on investigations, Anderson was in front of her yard at around 18:30 hrs when she was approached by the two suspects and an argument ensued.
During the argument, the 20-year-old suspect collected a knife from the 29-year-old suspect and dealt the victim two stabs – one to the upper left back and the other to the left shoulder.
After being stabbed, Anderson stumbled into her yard and collapsed.
Soon after, the 22-year-old woman was picked up and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation where she was pronounced dead.
The body of the 22-year-old woman is presently at the Georgetown Public Hospital mortuary awaiting an autopsy.
Importantly, police said that the two suspects subsequently turned themselves in at the Turkeyen Police Station along with the knife used to stab the woman.
They remain in custody as investigations continue.
