Play started at 15:15h and Bangladesh reached stumps at 69-1 with Shadman Islam 22 (2x4s) from 98 balls and Mohammad Hassan 23 (3x4s) from 67 balls being the two not-out batsmen.
Left-arm seamer Colin Archibald (1-14) took the lone wicket of Mahmudul Hasan Joy (17).
Play will resume on Thursday at 09:00h, weather permitting.
Meanwhile, the first Four-Day match, which ended in a draw, was also affected by rain, but some players managed to produce commendable performances.
