    West Indies ‘A’ is off to a shaky start in response to Bangladesh ‘A’ first innings score of 300-9 declared on day three of their second Four-Day match at the Daren Sammy Cricket ground, St. Lucia.

    At stumps, the host is 43-2 with Tagenarine Chanderpaul unbeaten on 21 (2x4s) from 57 balls and skipper Joshua DaSilva 12 (2x4s) from 21 balls.

    Left-arm seamer Mrittunjoy Chowdhury has snared the wickets of Jeremy Solozano (10) and Kacey Carty (0) for figures of 2-19.

    Earlier, Mohammad Hassan made a majestic 146 (13x4s; 4x6s), which saw the Bangladeshis keep the West Indians in the field for 126.4 overs.

    Jaker Anik chipped in with 35 while Shadman Islam made 25.

    Left-arm seamer Colin Archibald led the way for West Indies ‘A’ with 3-48 (22 overs) and got support from West Indies pacer Anderson Phillip 3-72 (26 overs) while leg-spinner Yannick Cariah took 2-53 (26.4 overs).

    The play is scheduled to start on Saturday at 09:00h.
