A total of 41 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry’s daily COVID dashboard released on Saturday.
The new cases take the total number of infections recorded in Guyana since March 2020 to 70,439.
The new cases were recorded in Region Two (three cases) Region Three (three cases), Region Four (31 cases), Region Six (two cases) and Region Ten (one case).
Meanwhile, there is one patient in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 10 patients in institutional isolation and 459 patients in home isolation.
To date, 68, 694 people have recovered.
