A total of 18 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry’s daily COVID dashboard released on Sunday.
The new cases take the total number of infections recorded in Guyana since March 2020 to 70,457.
The new cases were recorded in Region Two (Two cases) Region Three (11 cases), and Region Four (five cases).
Meanwhile, there is one patient in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 13 patients in institutional isolation and 449 patients in home isolation.
To date, 68, 719 people have recovered.
