Perseverance man, 20, dies after stabbed to neck during argument


A young man, just 20 years old, lost his life on Saturday after being stabbed during an argument.

Police Headquarters, in a statement, said  Owen Young of Perseverance, East Bank Demerara was stabbed by two identifiable males at about 22:00hrs on Saturday, a short distance from his home.

Young and both suspects were involved in a heated argument when one of the suspects stabbed him to his right-side neck; he immediately collapsed.

The body of Young was taken to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre where he was pronounced dead and later taken to the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home for a post-mortem examination.

The suspects turned themselves into police in the presence of a lawyer on Sunday.

They are in custody assisting with investigations.
