    West Indies Under-19 fast bowler Isai Thorne impressed on day two at Park Hill, Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, but Guyana lost to the Leeward Islands by 10 wickets in round two action of the Cricket West Indies Rising Stars Under-19 Three-Day Championship.

    Final scores in the match: Guyana 73 all out and 90 all out; Leeward Islands 151 all out and 14-0.

    Leeward Islands, resuming the day on 119-4 with a lead of 46 on first innings, were dismissed for 151 with overnight batsmen Jewel Andrew (56) and Nathan Edward (26) among the runs.

    Thorne picked up five of the six wickets to fall on day two, finishing with splendid figures of 6-36 off 12 overs. Jonathan Rampersaud had 2-21.

    Faced with a deficit of 78, Guyana’s batting succumbed for the second time in the game, the innings lasting only 31.2 overs.

    Zachary Jodah made 23, Shamar Yearwood 22 and Alvin Mohabir 18*. Bowling for Leeward Islands, Micah McKenzie took 5-18.

    Set a target of 13 for victory, Leeward Islands coasted to victory without losing a wicket.

    The defeat for Guyana followed an impressive opening victory against Trinidad and Tobago last week.

    At Cumberland: Jamaica 265 from 74.5 overs (Steven Wedderburn 100, Sean Roye 46, Sanjay Walker 40, Adrian Weir 34; Solomon Bascombe 4-47, Tarrique Edward 3-62) and 229-5 declared from 4.3 overs (Jordan Johnson 82, Steven Wedderburn 52; Solomon Bascombe 2-34) vs Windward Islands 172 all out from 57 overs (Ackeem Auguste 66; Sanjay Walker 3-29) and 29-2 from five overs. (Target: 323)

    At Arnos Vale: Trinidad 107 all out from 46.4 overs (Kyle Ramdoo 41; Johanna Layne 4-14, Dre Springer 2-9, Jayden Roberts 2-23) and 153-5 from 59 overs (Andrew Rambaran 39*, Nick Ramlal 35; Jaden Leacock -35) vs Barbados 154 all out from 71.3 overs (Achilles Browne 35, Joshua Dorne 27, Nimar Bolden 26; Vasant Singh 5-60)
