Guyana recorded 44 new COVID-19 cases after 373 tests were conducted, taking the total number of confirmed cases since March 2020, to 70, 788.
The new cases were recorded in; Region Two (one case), Region Three (11 cases), Region Four (21 cases), Region Five (two cases), Region Six (two cases), Region Seven (three cases) and Region Nine (four cases).
There are two patients in the COVID Intensive Care Unit, 12 patients are in institutional isolation and 451 patients are in home isolation.
To date, 69, 045 people have recovered and 1, 278 people have died.
