Pomeroon man, 34, found dead in dilapidated Bartica house

A 34-year-old man identified as Trevor Adams of Pomeroon River, Region Two was discovered dead at a dilapidated house at Sixth Street, Bartica on Monday last.

Police Headquarters in a statement on Wednesday said Adams was a habitual drug user and was homeless. Police suspect that he died sometime between 15:30hrs and 08:15hrs on Monday.

According to the owner of the property, Adams complained to her about feeling unwell and she advised him to seek medical attention. This was about 15:30hrs when the owner left home.

She returned at about 18:15 hours and discovered Adams motionless lying under her house.

An alarm was raised, and the police were summoned. The body was examined and no marks of violence were observed.

The man’s body was subsequently escorted to the Bartica Regional Hospital, awaiting a post-mortem examination.
