Trinbago Knight Riders defeated Barbados Royals by 29 runs on Thursday to move to second on the points table in the Women’s 6IXTY competition.
Knight Riders made 92-3 from 10 overs with Deandra Dottin lighting up Warner Park in St. Kitts with 46 off 34 balls (3x4s, 2x6s). Sune Luus struck two sixes in 25 off 17.
The total proved more than enough as Geetika Kodali picked up a hat-trick to finish with 3-6 to wreck the Royals chase. They eventually managed 63-5 at the end of the overs, with Chinelle Henry making 37 and Reniece Boyce 18.
With the win, Knight Riders are now level on points with the Royals, but ahead on net run rate, while Guyana Amazon Warriors, with two wins from two games, are top of the table.
The Women’s 6IXTY continues on Friday with Guyana Amazon Warriors playing Trinbago Knight Riders from 15:00h.
