6IXTY: TKR Women romp to victory over Amazon Warriors

Guyana Amazon Warriors ladies suffered their first defeat of the Caribbean Premier League 6IXTY, losing by six wickets to Trinbago Knight Riders in a low-scoring contest on Friday.
Batting first, Warriors were dismissed for just 33 in eight overs with no batter reaching double-figures, Chedean Nation scoring nine.
Sune Luus took 2-6, while Guyanese Sheneta Grimmond was impressive with 1-3. Hayley Jensen (1-5) and Geetika Kodali (1-10) were also among the wickets.
Knight Riders then raced to victory at 34 without loss in 3.5 overs with Deandra Dottin scoring 22 not out off 15 balls (4x4s) and Lee-Ann Kirby six not out.
The final group game of the Women 6IXTY is on Saturday from 15:00h with Guyana Amazon Warriors playing Barbados Royals with spots in Sunday’s final at stake.
